Shores of November

A cold, chilly air with the smell of salt fills the morning with the strong sound of crashing waves and waterfalls. The wind stirs and mavericks in the air make a quick flyby, the sonic blast of full throttle overwhelming the ears. It's a good day in March, on the shores of November. Far, far away from home.

Feeling rather good. A very quick painting in Photoshop that started and ended without perspective guides (thus, many of you are likely to spot errors), and with only one layer. I highly recommend digital artists out there who feel they're stuck on a rut to try this, and I know for a fact many professionals also do it:

Set aside some time for personal work and put on some good music. Paint with only one brush, choose your own colors, and paint away without zooming in or out, and minimize undo as much as possible. Sounds stressful and challenging? If you hit the right notes, I guarantee you won't feel either (it's actually relaxing!) and once it's done, you'll feel exceptionally motivated and empowered.
