Death Toll: Too Many

It's been several months since I last uploaded here and now that I've gathered the strength to pickup whatever pieces I've left since then, I'm proud to say at least my skills haven't dropped off a skyscraper rooftop and down into an alleyway filled with sand and some very very thirsty angry soldiers.

So here's something new from me, fresh off Adobe Photoshop. This was done on and off for about four hours, albeit very slowly (the rest of the buildings took only as much time as the one single building to the left - apparently the consequence of quickly rediscovering some things that got buried in a light cover of dust over the period I haven't been practicing)

So the deal here - post-apocalyptic resort city now being reclaimed by hot desert sands with a giant sand storm approaching in the distance about to bring a fresh new coat of bright happy sand... to bury the heart of darkness that beats here.

The horror... the horroooor!

Looks like spec ops: the line that was inspired by the book that inspired apocalypse now where kurtz last words were "the horror the horror" like in the end of your description
